Hope you’re doing well and staying safe in this weird times we find are selves in.
Ever thought about how marketing can change a business.
Let me put it a different way, you may also learn something about planes too 🙂
Do you know how a plane fly. Let’s break it down. There are four forces that act on the plane while it’s in the air: thrust, drag, lift and gravity.
The thrust helps the plane to propel forwards, whereas the lift force allows it to move upwards, and also to maintain its altitude.
Marketing a business is not unlike a plane it needs the same things when trying to make it fly. Your thrust is your marketing campaign and the lift force is traffic going to the campaign.
For a plane to stay in the air, the lift force needs to overcome the force of gravity. Witch is in our case is the market and it’s competitors pushing against the success of your product.
The thrust must overcome the drag force, the drag is the consumer behaviour Drag resists the plane’s motion through the air, similar to consumer trends in business.
Flying is all based on Newton’s third law of motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
All of these forces need to work together to keep the plane in the air and it’s the same with marketing a business. You need to have your marketing campaigns, traffic sources, market and consumer behaviour to all work together to make your business fly.
