Hello World

Hope you’re doing well and staying safe in this weird times we find are selves in.

I know it’s been a really rough time lately for everyone in the world, with people getting sick and business going under. So, to take a break from the normal Bad news I would like to present a different prospective on how business owners should be thinking about their futures.

I am in know way saying that crisis or the bad things that happen in a crisis is a good thing, but you do need to think positively to help move your business forward.

(the below is mainly talking about a financial related crisis which COVID-19 has become for most businesses)

Goodbye to 10 Years of peak everything. Goodbye, Good Riddance to 10 Years of peak everything.

You may remember 2010 – 2020 as the golden age… I call it the era of peak distraction!

This is the fourth shit storm I’ve experienced in my professional life (and I’m not even 30 yet).

I knew something was coming, because history… weather that be a financial crisis or something else, I just didn’t know when or what

I asked a wise friend of mine, once how do you know when a crisis will happen.

He said “think of this like a baseball game. It might feel like the 8th inning now, but we are going to extra

innings!”

Not a baseball fan? Let me explain…

The problem? All games must end at some point… So we knew it was inevitable, but when would it happen?

I read the opinions of many people on the Internet, and still had no idea… Not to mention being court by surprise by COVID-19.

Timing these things is impossible. I have been excited about a correction for years… (Just no one like this) Why? Because the market was already over…

Now it’s like everything’s on sale.

It’s time to rebuild, With great opportunities ahead.

When markets are on the way up, it’s easy to get consumed by FOMO.

Grass is greener… Other business models are sexier… Someone is making money easier…

Laptop Millionaires, Rented Lambos… It’s all over now.

There are much fewer shiny objects to chase, and those luxuries we “must have” are deeply discounted. This is the best thing that could happen for growing your future business.

When things go poorly, focus on the future. It’s OK to be upset about recent events, but it’s the future that defines you and your business.

Let’s give 2010-2020 a Viking funeral

Hello World Hope you’re doing well and staying safe in this weird times we find are selves in.
